U ha Adana, AIESEC Adana!

I will remember this summer in Turkey Adana forever. It is so amazing that I can’t believe it is real. I love the air, the flower and people in turkey so much. People there are so friendly. They introduced delicious food, explained their culture and treated me without bias or discrimination. Not only are they good guides, they also are good friends also.  I see more, learn more and understand more in this journey.

The fantastic sceneary:

I have been to more than 10 cities in this summer. Istanbul,  Izmir, Adana, Efes, Antaya, Capadoya and so on. From Europe to Asia, from South to North, l left my footprints and met so many friends. I travelled ala Sophia and shocked by its perfect design. I travelled capadokya and shocked by its nature sceneries, which looked like another planet so much. I felt I was an alien then because I think it must be created by aliens. I can’t believe nature can make it. I travelled Izmir and enjoyed its fabulous sea-water and boating tour.

The Turkish Culture:

I drunk their traditional tea (Cay) and ate their particular breakfast every morning. I watched the Turkish guy praying 5 times a day, seven days a week. They explained their religion belief to me and taught me the Turkish language. I see so many daily life and details of turkey people.

People I met:

The blue-agent tour in Izmir gave me a chance to make friends from 32 countries all over the world. I met one American guy who studies in Yale and he told me he was applying for one class whose lecture is Tony Blair. I admired him so much because he was so smart. He told me he spent 7 hours in reading after class everyday. Besides, he can speak French and travelled lots of countries. I met one England-Indian guy, who is so funny that we made jokes that we will marry with each other when we meet next time. I also met one Chinese girl who is so nice and kind, and we traveler together and share our secrets and talk about our similar interests. People were so nice there and their friendly help warm my heart and gave me more ideas and inspirations.

Learn More

Thanks to Turkey, thanks to AIESEC Adana and thanks to my company, I learned so much about life, AIESEC and managing a family company.

I was a marketing trainee and this is my first time to work in a family company. My boss graduate from Oxford University and he moved to London when he was 12. At first time we met each other, he told me he can understand what I felt now. How lonely I felt and how much I miss my country and my parents. So he provided me best accommodation and tried his best to give me best learning chance. He taught how to deal with the relationship in a family company. Relatives are not just relatives in his company, and they are may be the employee or colleges. It is so complicated and he had to spent most of his energy and time to do it. What’s more, he also told me how to make marketing research and write reports. Specially he also gave me professional training on management. Throughout this internship, I know more about myself and have a clear understanding about my future choice. I realize that I prefer to be a Office Lady in a big company because I like disciplines and clear regulations. I hate to deal with relationship so hard. My boss is more than a boss, and he is also my lifelong friend.

Let’s talk about AIESEC Adana. It is an old LC actually with a history of 20 years. They had about 20 trainees, 2 ceeders and 8 departments. The more complex structure, the more I can learn from it. The members of aiesec adana are so energetic and passionate. So they can prepare 2 trainee gathering every week. How to make a friendly atmosphere in LC, how to manage so many trainees and how to make aiesec marketing, they taught me so much and I grow so quickly there.

Understand More

Different continents, different religions and different nations, all of elements decide we need more communication and talk, or we can’t understand each other. Frankly speaking, I still can’t understand their religion –Islam. Just like Turkish guys do not understand why we do not have religion belief, why do we eat dog and why do we believe socialism, I still can’t why do they believe god create human and god create world. Moreover, I can’t believe that they think peace and war are equally important in their religion. I have saw one statue of Muhammadan. He hold the alcoran on his left hand, but he hold one spear on his right hand meanwhile. It is so unbelievable for me. I always think that creator of famous religion should teach us to give up war and pursue peace. But Islam break up my former ideas towards religion.

They would like to cut some chickens and sheeps and pray to god, and they will put some blood on their forehead. At first I was so shocked and sick. Gradually, I tried to understand their belief and found it is also good for people to believe there is one god in this world, which can make them feel much better when they experience some difficulties and help them recover soon.

Maybe I can’t understand, but I can respect. This is what I learn---to be tolerant.

To sum up, I love Turkey , I love AIESEC and I love my internship.

U Ha Adana, AIESEC Adana!
